I began as a summer intern at the small boutique firm of Delano Architecture in the summer of 2020. Since then, I have continued on there, where I have worked with the team to develop a line of modular buildings in an effort to streamline the design process and reach a larger clientele in the process. While here, I have helped to implement a new language of graphic renderings, and have been a part of the hands-on design work - from larger-scale conceptual layouts to detail-oriented designs. In the process, I have learned valuable skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and how to shape beautiful spaces that respond to the specific Maine Landscape.
Previously, during the summer of 2018, I interned with Architect Carol De.Tine of Carriage House Studios, where we worked strictly in physical model-building and hand-drafting. My brief stint there fostered an appreciation for Hand-drafting that I have carried with me throughout my five years in school. It has made me appreciate the detailing and time it takes to create beautiful, quality drawings.
